DANCING FOR OUR STARS SEPTEMBER 20 2014
Dancing for our Stars gives local celebrities a chance to slip on a pair of dancing shoes and put themselves in the shoes of a student with LD. They are way outside of their comfort zones as they try to cram years of ballroom dance training into a few short months. On top of all that, they are raising money and awareness. You can follow their progress on our website, Facebook, or Twitter. Our competitors show a lot of heart and are highly motivated because they know that the money they raise will be used for bursaries and assessment support for Nova Scotia youth struggling with learning disabilities. What would a dance competition be without the cruel wit and wisdom of celebrity judges? We’ve got all the bases covered: the mean one, the pretty one (Christina Martin), and the funny one.
